Goals Part 3: Taking Action

Way to nail down your WHY and create some goals! I hope you took the time to write them down, keep them visible, and share them with people that will build you up, support you, and hold you accountable. You’re welcome to send them our way too so we can help you reach them!

Now that you’ve got your goals and milestones in sight, what are you going to do to get there?

Action needs to happen, but you don’t just jump in your car and drive to Oregon without a GPS or a map to guide you. Some of us would probably figure it out and head in the right direction but it’s doubtful that we’d be taking the most efficient route possible. The point is, you don’t want to waste time getting to your health and fitness goals.

So what’s the plan of action you’re taking? For many people this time of year it’s to eat better, start going to the gym again, or get back on the treadmill in the basement. That’s one step, but it may not be any better than getting into your car without directions.

There is science, not just fad and hype, behind weight loss, gaining strength, conditioning, and performance. Again you can get stronger, leaner, and more fit just as you can head west to Oregon. But what’s the most efficient way to get in the best shape possible?

Surprise surprise that’s what we’re here for. Program design that is not just a hard workout, but is meant to keep you balanced by stimulating you to get stronger, and build cardiovascular strength and endurance. We also program recovery so that you avoid over training injury and burnout.

One more important planning piece to keep on the back burner. Back on your road trip to OR, what happens when you encounter the unplanned? The construction detour, flat tire, or heavy traffic through a city? No surprise the same happens in real life along your fitness journey. You will encounter unexpected traffic, sickness, special events, poor planning and more.

It’s inevitable, so what will you do? Do you have easy back up meals to quickly prepare at home? Do you know your best options when you have/choose to eat out? Do we hold you accountable and call you when we don’t see you for a week? 😉

These things are real and you can’t pretend they won’t happen, so plan for them!
